Barbara has felted for more than 30 years and still believes in the magical qualities that are inherent in the process and development of the medium.
Her sculptural art explores dimensional qualities which create forms that are both hard and soft, strong yet pliable, elegant and whimsical.
Pursuing and testing new fibers and techniques allows her the freedom to understand and react to the full potential of the medium.
Barbara has achieved world-wide recognition using fiber as her medium.
Her work appears in Neuberg, Germany, Hardverk, Iceland, Mandurah and Perth Australia as well as throughout the USA.
She has won numerous awards in the USA including the 2015 Ohio Arts Council grant for Individual Artist Excellence.
Her work has also been featured in galleries and runway shows.
